A Forgotten Princess

Haydee from Gankutsuou

The second dress I made for Haydee, because she is one of the most beautiful characters I've seen and I'm obsessed with her outfits.

The dress is better made than the first one, with the iridescent organza on top rather than under the white chiffon. The wig is new, since the dark green colour did not exist when I did Haydee 3 years ago. I glued rhinestones into the wig to emulate the gorgeous gankutsuou-esque pattern.

There's also craploads more beads on the dress. I tried to be as accurate as possible to the anime, when placing the beads and the colour of them. There's also more beads underneath the organza. This gives it a nice subtle layered look and less of "I barfed beads" look.

I think I've also gotten really good at applying the white make-up...seeing as I've had to do it so many times!

My only regret is that I was facing the sun in this picture, and it's hard for me to not squint my eyes.
